| Community Class (open to all levels) This class showcases our newest instructors who recently graduated from the yoga teacher training. Breath, the 14 points of vinyasa, and relaxation will be explored. This class is offered by donation, $5 is suggested. |
| Kripalu Yoga (open to all levels) This style of yoga encourages a meditative approach to the postures to promote inward focus. Yoga poses may be linked together in a flow or held to allow stillness. |
| Gentle Vinyasa & Yin Yoga (open to all levels, great for beginners) Explore a meditative flow of basic postures which emphasize movement linked with breath. Yin Yoga is also integrated into this class. Yin is a relaxed practice of passive holding of floor postures for 3-5 minutes to bring balance to the joints and the connective tissue. Every 3rd week is a YIN YOGA class. Click here for the rotation. |
| Children's Yoga (ages 6-10) WATCH FOR MORE CLASSES IN THE FALL! Children begin to explore the fundamentals of yoga including postures, breath and relaxation techniques. |
| Pre-Natal Yoga (open to all levels) For all mommies-to-be! Come and learn the benefits of a routine yoga practice during pregnancy! Yoga helps alleviate common aches associated with pregnancy as well as beginning to prepare you mentally and emotionally for the birth of your child. Click here for additional information. This is offered as a drop in class. No pre-registration necessary. |
| Morning Yoga (open to all levels) Wake up on the right side of your MAT! Explore basic postures to promote overall relaxation. Modifications using props will allow you to relax into the poses and deepen your overall body awareness |
| OM & GO (open to all levels) In a hurry? Barely have time for yoga? This class is for you! We'll get you in, relaxed, stretched on your way--all in 45 minutes! Class is offered Vinyasa style--linking movement with breath. Breath awareness and deep relaxation is a staple! |
| Power Vinyasa (experienced preferred) The vinyasa style of yoga links breath with movement. This class focuses on creatively linking active pose to pose while synchronizing breath with movement into a meditative flow. This moderately paced class will build on several variations of sun salutations and standing poses, sequencing postures into a flowing “dance". |
| Vinyasa Basics (open to all levels, great for beginners) The vinyasa style of yoga links breath with movement. This class focuses on the basic sequences and postures of traditional yoga classes. It provides an opportunity to learn the basics of a vinyasa yoga class in a relaxed, supportive environment. |
| Sun Salutations (open to all levels) Sunday is the day to honor the SUN! This class is taught in the vinyasa style, linking movement to breath in a FLOW. Sun Salutations or Surya Namaskar is a specific sequence of 12 yoga postures which provide an overall sense of well-being. |
| Vinyasa & Meditation (open to all levels) The power of the vinyasa sequencing will relax and rejuvenate your entire body and mind to allow for the expansion for deep relaxation! Yoga Nidra is yoga sleep and it promotes true relaxation by calming the mind in a very systematic way to promote a state of meditation. Each class will end with a long savasana (deep relaxation) with a yoga nidra meditation. |
| Yoga Basics (open to all levels, great for beginners) This is an introductory level class. Each pose is explored individually. Alignment will be emphasized to one's own body type and ability. Props are utilized to focus on each student's need to approach yoga as an individual practice. This is a great way to learn the many different yoga asanas (poses) and begin to understand how they feel in your body! |
| Ancient Ayurveda Yoga Series (open to all levels) First Sunday of the month beginning August 3rd Ayurveda means knowlege of life. This specific series of poses relaxes, harmonizes and energizes ALL areas of your life. From the physical body to the spirit! Leave feeling fresh and rejuvenated and prepared for the new month! |
| ViniYoga (open to all levels, great for beginners) Viniyoga based mid-day physical practice with breath awareness. Practices may incorporate sutras, chant, mudra, pranayama or meditation. Classes designed to facilitate stretching and breathing your way to an energized awareness. |
| Yoga Q&A (open to all! NO CHARGE! First Saturday of the month Next Class: Sept 6) Interested in yoga but not sure where or how to begin? Do you have questions? Join us for this informative session to learn the history, philosophy and basics of yoga. Each session will have a discussion followed by a short yoga demonstration. Bring your questions and we'll clear out your uncertainties! Anyone can practice YOGA! Come and learn how! |
