Kevin Cannoot had his first
experience with yoga in 2002 with Teji.
Having been interested in Eastern
thought and practices for years prior to
practicing yoga, he was thankful to have
found a way to actually intergrate these
practices into his life instead of only
learning about them. Kevin discovered
Hatha yoga to be more than what he had
imagined -- a path to inner peace, not
just a road to physical wellness.
In addition to the physical practice of
yoga, he soon found another peace-
invoking practice -- Yantras. He met
Sarah Tomlinson and painted his first
yantra under her guidance in May 2005.
Kevin continues this practice in Sarah's
workshops and on his own.
Following a two-week journey to India in
April 2007, painting yantras, practicing
yoga, visiting sacred sites and running
from monkeys, Kevin came home with a
strong desire to share with others the
peace and spirit he experienced in India.
He has been married to Brooke for 6
years, and their daughters, Gaia and
Uma, are radiant lights in Kevin's life.
Kevin has a B.A. from Purdue University
and he completed his 200HR Yoga
Teacher Training program with Sarah
Tomlinson of the Ancient Ayurveda Yoga
School.
