
What classes are good for beginners? Beginners are welcome in any class
that is not described as 'intermediate-advanced.' Specifically, try these:

Tuesdays & Thursdays, 4PM Yoga Basics
Tuesdays, 9:30AM & 7:15PM Gentle Vinyasa and Yin

Saturday, 8AM Morning Flow
Saturday, 10:30AM Vinyasa & Meditation
What should I wear? Anything that is comfortable and allows you to move freely.
You will be barefoot in the yoga room.
Is there a place to change? Dhanwantari has a bathroom that is suitable to
change your clothes. There is also an additional treatment room to utilize if the
bathroom is occupied. You are welcome to use the hooks in the back hall and storage
in the front lobby for your belongings.
What should I bring? Dhanwantari has everything you need for the perfect yoga
experience including mats, props, blankets, and water service to refill your bottle or
have a cup of tea. You are welcome to bring your own mat and water bottle. If you
would like to use our mats, there is a rental fee of $1.
Where can I park? 2 hour parking is available on the street. Parking is monitored
until 6PM, M-F. On the weekends and after 6PM on-street parking is unlimited. The
Leighton Center Garage (the one above Dhanwantari) is also available. Please enter
from Jefferson St (corner of Jefferson and Michigan) and it is roughly $1/hr, $5 daily
maximum.
Can I share my Class Pass? You are welcome to share your pass with ONE other
person that must be registered in our database at the time the Pass is purchased.
Is there a student discount? We offer a 15% discount to students who present a
valid, current student ID at the time of purchases.
Please review these guidelines prior to visiting Dhanwantari Center

- Please wear comfortable,
breathable clothing. And prepare
for your changing body
temperature by wearing layers or
bring a blanket.
- Both Men and Women must
wear shirts at all times.
- Children ages 12 and over are
allowed to participate in adult
classes with signed permission
from a parent or guardian. It is
recommended that children
under 12 participate in our
Children's classes.
- Dhanwantari does not offer day
care for small children. Please
refrain from bringing children to
wait for you while you participate
in classes.
- Eat lightly prior to attending a
class. A digesting stomach may
make you feel uncomfortable.
Drink plenty of water before and
after your class. Feel free to take
water into the yoga room provided
it is in a bottle.
- Please treat the Center as a
sacred space and remove shoes
prior to entering the yoga room.
Please leave belongings in the
storage space provided outside
of the yoga room.
- In the yoga space, refrain from
talking. Quiet conversation is
allowed in the lobby and the back
hall.
- Please turn off all cell phones
and beepers.
- Please arrive at least 10 minutes
prior to class time. The Center
door will be locked 5 minutes
after the class begins and late
arrivals will be admitted at
discretion of the Center and
instructor.
- If you need to leave your class
early, please do so before final
relaxation begins.
- If you are pregnant or have an
injury, please notify the instructor.
- Use your instructor as a guide.
Listen and ask questions. Just
keep breathing! Do not feel
forced to perform asanas
(postures) above your body’s
current ability. Above all listen to
the wisdom of your body!
